New Professional Position at Cisco Systems!

Cisco Systems Software Engineer

I am now a contractor of Cisco Systems! I was selected to be given an 18 month contract to develop an internal tool for the sales and marketing teams. It’s an exciting opportunity, one that I hope will either lead to a full time position within Cisco, or be able to leverage the experience into another professional contract-type position.

I don’t have all the details yet for what I will be doing at Cisco; today was focused on a building tour, and obtaining accounts, equipment, and other typical first-day chores. I do know, however, my duties will be to build an application using PHP/MySQL, and that this application will be intended for internal use.
